Brazed steel. It’s the easiest type of bike frame to build. A common building toolkit is simply an oxy acetylene torch, a solid work bench with a vice, some files (like 6 well chosen), a hacksaw and an electric drill. Whether it’s the best material or not is a matter of endless debate and misses the point. The means are bare-bones and beyond tools the only necessity is some knowledge and the desire to gain more. So what did Jamie Swan learn from building his first steel frame?

State of emergency was declared by the county.  Nobody was allowed on the roads.  Yet, one text from your buddy and your off the warm recliner by the fire and somehow in the middle of mile three during the years epic snowfall.  For some reason it was easier to push hard then settle in and dog the miles.

This is the beginning.  It starts here, in a garage filled with endeavors.  Not every path we choose is easy.  If it was; then it would just be the way. Sawyer for one started around a coffee table with some friends and whisky.  Here, the adventure was chosen in the hopes to bring a journey of unexpected fun and challenges.  So join us in this venture, watch it grow with hard work, long roads, good people, late nights, early mornings, a little blood with lots of sweat and maybe a few tears....  Bad decisions make great stories.
