Brazed steel. It’s the easiest type of bike frame to build. A common building toolkit is simply an oxy acetylene torch, a solid work bench with a vice, some files (like 6 well chosen), a hacksaw and an electric drill. Whether it’s the best material or not is a matter of endless debate and misses the point. The means are bare-bones and beyond tools the only necessity is some knowledge and the desire to gain more.
